Julia Suhajda Memorial Fund

Julia "Gia" Suhajda

Julia (“Gia”) Suhajda grew up in Rochester Hills, Michigan and touched many people with her bright smile, open heart and wonderful wit. Just weeks before her 22nd birthday and her graduation from the University of Michigan, she took her own life after struggling with depression and anxiety.  In the days and weeks following her death, hundreds of friends and acquaintances have shared stories of how their lives were impacted by her acts of kindness and generosity, often at times when they needed it the most.  To honor her legacy, we are spreading her message and encourage you to choose kindness always, share your gratitude for each other and hug your people.
Profits from the sale of Gia apparel are donated to the Julia Suhajda Memorial Fund, C/O Community Foundation of Greater Rochester, 303 East St., Rochester, MI  48307, to support programs related to issues of suicide prevention. We encourage you to read and share stories of kindness at #BeKindLikeGia on social media. Because Gia loved to travel, we also encourage you to share photos as you wear her message in the world!

The world is a better place with you in it, always.  If you are struggling, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. For you, for your people, for Gia.
